Hi all,
I have just built a pc, and set about learning to O'c it.
PC specs are
Pentium D 940 (presler) 3.2 ghz using a thermalight copper pipe heatsink.
Asrock Dual Core VSTA motherboard
2 Gig DDR2 ram (kingston budget) - with heat spreaders
Nvidia 7300le pci-e 256mb graphics card.
PSU optronix 500w silent
Im just wanting to check what i have done is ok really,
I increased frequency to 220mhz making 3.51ghz (10% increase)
left multiplyer at x16
Ram/CPU ratio of 8:6
Idle temps are around 42 degrees C
Full stress test using everest Temp got 53 degrees C
System is stable, and works ok, but being a newbie i just wanted to check.
Plus, my ram has 2 clock speeds in the bios, 266 and 333mhz, currently running 293.5 mhz after OC
Would i get better results if the ram speed was 333, or is it better being closer to the cpu clock speed (before multiplyer)
Thanks in advance for any advice etc..
Neal
