new to over clocking

right im new to this, aint dont have much of a clue about it, im running a
athlon 64 x2 4200 (939)
2 x 512 geil value ram
asus a8n sli
an 2 geforce 7900's on an sli

*** i be right in thinkin i jus increase the fsb + the multiplier in the bios to keep the cpu running faster?

You should have more of a understanding of overclocking then. But it is a job of increasing the FSB lowering the multiplier on the ram and adjusting the voltages of the CPU and RAM. Once you hit a stable FSB by running orthos and your happy with the temperatures then tighten the ram timings.

thanks, my motherboard does have an auto over clock, where i can set it to over clock by 3/5/7/10%

I would not use that, overclocking can take days before you find the best settings. I found the Intel easy to work with as they are pretty good overclockers and after reading about the E6300 I new I could expect at least 2.8Ghz but AMD's I would find more tricky as they require a lot more time to overclock.
