You might gain a few fps at 1080p but any higher res you would see little to no gains.I have some samsung b die 3600mhz 2x16gb cl16 ram.
What performance gains would i get in gaming if it was possible to overclock it to 4000mhz or even 4200mhz?
Or are the cas numbers more important?
Depends on the game and the system you're running. For example Ryzen is very sensitive to memory speeds and timings as is Cyberpunk.I have some samsung b die 3600mhz 2x16gb cl16 ram.

Worth clocking it up then, maybe try 4400 CL18/4000~4200CL16, up to 1.5v is perfectly fine on Bdie and don't forget to overclock the CPUs cache also 4.7~4.8 should be fine if you haven't Already done this.I play at 1080p on a 10900k. The ram is team group. It's labeled to reach 4500mhz or more but I'd be happy with 3800 cl16 to 4000 cl16. Max voltage is 1.4v tested.
