New to overclocking(X2 3800+)

just wanted to try out overclocking to see what I can do.
Setup(that matters)is X2 3800+
Silent Boost K8 cooler(keeps my cpu cold enough)
Abit AN8 Ultra
2x512 Geil Value(kit)@2.5-3-3-6 1T
Msi 6600(PCI-E)
2XWD 160Gb SATA

What's the basics of overclocking this Processor
I know there is no Fsb setting for these but what settings are what?

No such thing as HTT on this motherboard
all that is there is HT frequency(selects LDT bus frequency)
and HT width.
There is a setting for external clock and multiplier.
