hi all as you can tell am new here, and need some advice
i have got a ga-p35-ds3r mobo, quad core q6600 2.4 ghz l2 cache,1066mhz fsb chip, window vista 32, 4gig of memory (ddr2 1066),bfg 512 8800gt and a freezer7 pro cpu fan,now am wondering is it possible to overclock this chip and board to speed things up abit, and *** the best way to go about it??
thx

i have same Mobo and cpu and cooler, this is what i did

Set FSB to 333
Set Multiplier to x9
voltage should be ok for stable 3.0GHz
set your memory to 2.00
also Disable C1E & E1ST In the bios
if it wont post on 3.0GHz.go up in small steps to 2.6-2.8 :D

Lol :D Plz dont tell me there is something wrong with these settings,i will adjust anything that is wrong :]

Naa ... worst you can probably do is get it to where it won't boot the BIOS or failes to boot WinDoze ( That's what the Clear-Bios Functions are for :D )

Bare in mind, all hardware is different, so the settings you chose and or mess about with will probably be a bit different, but fairly close.

i have a very simular spec.

i jus bought a tuniq tower to try my first overclock. all looks kinda complicated to me, but i keep tellin myself, if some of this bunch can do it! so can i!
