Hi guys, as per the title Im pretty new to overclocking.

I've managed to overclock my AMD Athlon II 265 to just over 4GHz just by changing the frequency.

My mobo seems to suggest I can set the frequency even higher but the system fails to boot past 4GHz. Is this simply as far as I can push the processor or is there another setting (voltage maybe?) that I can adjust to get more performance?

Yes up the volts now.

Read the advanced guide at the top.

Need to take it easy now you are getting to a high clock. Good to say you ant touched the volts yet

Thanks for the advice.

The processor is still running at around 48C at full load (using Prime95) as it has an Antec KUHLER 920 on it, given to me by Antec :)

I'll have a read up and see about changing the voltages tomorrow.

That's a good Freebie lol

If you post some screen show will be able to get a better idea of were your at.

I dont no the limits with amd but theses plenty on hero that do

Very cool freebie indeed :)

My advice to anyone; start a technology website, you get all kinds of great opportunities :)
