New to overclocking

Hey,

I recently got a new laptop and i have finally had time to go on it today.

I know its got a good set of CPU/Ram/HDD/GFX but i want to know if there is any programs out there that scans your system and tells you recommended settings and what it does etc

Here is my system:

Processor
Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-6700K CPU @ 4.00GHz

Video Card
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 980M

Video Card #2
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 980M

RAM
64 GB

Geforce Experience can set game setting profiles depending on your specs, have you had a look at it?

Run some stress test first on both the CPU and the GPU separately and then together...see what kind of temps you are getting before you decide to start overclocking.

Laptops and overclocking never used to mix in the past but maybe they have better cooling solutions now.....?

As soon as you start overclocking you will see jumps in temps even without any extra voltages applied.
