Hi. As the title states I’m new to all this PC building stuff, so really I have no clue on whats good or not. The primary uses for this PC is for gaming (it would be great if it can run Marvel Rivals smoothly) and just regular old school work.
I’ve done the slightest bit of research and have opted for Lian li a3 matx as my primary case option, as it’s more convenient for my desk which isn’t all too big.
I have a budget of £800, though I’m willing to go for £1000 and slightly over.
Thank you for reading this’s and any help is of great use.

Thanks a lot man, I’ll look into these a bit more. Much appreciated.

I have that mobo its on the lower cost level but does the job! Tetras spec looks good.

I am assuming your gaming on a 1080p screen. Is that right or are you thinking of using a 1440p or 4k screen?
Yeah haha, forgot to specify. Going for a 1080p screen, nothing too crazy.

if spending a bit more, below would work with upgrade path in future to x3d cpu

AMD Alternative with a 7800XT gpu...seeing as the 7900/7900xt just launched, you might be able to find a used one for £300-£350 as people upgrade...would have stuck a 7900 non xt in there tbh, but all sold out and price up to £600 now. If you're patient the price should settle down again after initial launch, and if amd continue to ship more units(they saying they're going to)..if nvidia respond and drop their insane prices, then amd should revert back to msrp. If you want an nvidia card a 4070S would be ideal..you'd want 2nd hand sub £450 really but i prefer the 16gb vram of amd
dropped to 1tb ssd as spending more on the gpu, and you can always add a 2nd ssd later
but the wooden fronted A3 case in as that has airflow for front panel(wooden slats on mesh), the black version doesn't(is a solid plastic front)
the 7600 cpu can be had for £189 at mo from shop, but seen one for £155 elsewhere....or if you feel adventurous you can get the 7600 for £120 from import. Comes with stock cooler so could use that and see how performs, or get a cooler such as the spirit above or arctic 36 freezer..not sure on clearance in case though. for me, smaller case I might like a aio to max amount of air inside the case. A giant block of a air cooler might hurt airflow for everything else in case. I'm not an expert on small case builds so someone else might advise better on that ( I liker the look and appreciate but prefer full atx size mobo..full size can still take up similar deskspace to smallewr build, just end up taller)
you can save £10 going non rgb ram, just stuck in there as mesh side so might be nice

anyway, searching around and importing you can get the below for sub £1000, or at leach knock £60 still buying in uk only

Thanks man. I’ll give these a look, if I have any questions I’ll be sure to let you know.
