Morning

I have been debating for a good 6 months about buying my 1st gaming PC

At the moment I game a lot on my Xbox 360 and would continue to do so for multiplayer games but looking to buy a good gaming PC for RPG's and single player games especially SkyRim and Fallout

I have my eye on this one at the moment

I would add windows 7 premium to it and would also upgrade the graphics card to the GTX 570

Would this be a good PC to start with ?

Hi and welcome

In short, yes
Though we do advocate trying to build your own computer here :D its actually quite simple, but if youre not happy then yes that system would be perfectly fine

As has been suggested building a system from scratch is actually quite simple however the pre-built system comes overclocked, ready to go and with a 12 month warranty.

The i5 2500k is quite easy to overclock and each component of a system built from scratch will come with its own warranty so if you'd still have that protection. It really depends on how comfortable you'd feel with putting the pieces together!

Nonetheless the system you've linked to will still be great.

To be honest I am that good with PC's, this would a home computer for the family and a gaming system for myself.

My brother in law is pretty clued up with the technical side of things so can use him for assistance

This is what I have for a DIY system. Price difference, £5. You might as well go pre-built. I don't like the case though, especially with a hot GPU.
