New To Photos (pics)

just got a Minolta z2 from my father. said he didnt need it anymore.

took a few pics by the pond of a dragonfly, this thing was 4 inches long no probs maybe more, biggest 1 i have seen. anyway heres the pics :)

Any reason why? Your pictures will look better at 800x600 than they will zoomed in at 100% at full resolution. Plus they will be quicker to download. Plus they seem to be the same shot taken a few seconds apart. Its always good to choose the best image from a set and post that.
 
soz m8, new to the photo part of comps, i can build and overclock, but photos are a nono. so a resize to 800x600 then. at mo thats how they came off the camera, untouched

No worries :) Lots of people do the same and they don't realise that by resizing to 800x600 they're pictures will look nicer when viewed online.

I like your shots, particularly the first without the fish below. There's a lot of Dragonflies around at the mo, picking of flying ants in mid air. They're quite scary. I almost had a big one fly into me when I was riding to work this afternoon!
 
Yes the 2nd photo looks very good but I think a 4:3 Crop would have been better (800 x 600) perhaps?

Good Depth of field though.
