Well just went out and bought myself a Ps3 today. Just wondering if there is anything specific i need to do to it to get the most out of the system.

Got a few game and have it running in 1080p atm. Got resistance, time crisis 4, uncharted and ratchet and clank.

What video media can it stream as I would really like to stream HD video from my pc, and did i hear something about installing linux?

hey whats time crisis 4 like u got the gun with it ?

yeah it's really good, shame I can't buy another gun so I can play 2 player on it. Would have to buy the whole game and gun again

Instead of starting a new thread I'll tag on to this one, hope you don't mind.

Just ordered a PS3 for £200 wasn't going get one yet but at that price, rude not to (don't ask where they are sold out now).

I had a PS3 before and sold it. Had both RFOM and Motorstorm didn't like either of them. Is GT5 worth getting or is it just like the demo, all the cars seemed floaty? I'm mainly waiting for MSG4 (but who isn't) but is there anything I missed and worth getting? (My 360 is my main gaming console)

Probably mainly being used as a Blu-ray player, any film recommendations?

I recommend ratatouille and the recently released I robot. Maybe consider the first pirates of the caribbean movie too.

with regards to TVs, i can't tell any difference on my PS3 and HDTV (samsung supporting 1080p) between 1080i and 1080p, what is the difference supposed to be exactly?

I went with that £200 deal, last week, mine arrived in perfect condition

GT5P is worth getting, they've added a lot to it i think, cars have more weight and the racing is more fun, AI is improved etc

1080p is "true" HD, its every pixel

is your HDTV full 1080p? or is it just 1080p compatible?

I have a 37" plasma, it supports 1080p but the screen itself is only 1024x720, having said that, it looks great anyway

GT5 Prologue is a demo. and sort of an appetizer to keep you waiting for the full course meal.

PS agree that Motorstorm and Resistance were underwhelming.

didnt enjoy resistance much at all but i love motorstorm
online is great fun even if i always finish last
i normally cant stand racing games at all but there is just somethingabout this game, its just fun really

on topic, uncharted is great fun as is singstar and if you dont already own them on a 360 then cod4,gh3 and even, dare i say, gta4 are all worthy games

I'm going to get uncharted and GT5 (only because its cheap).

Uncharted is a must, I haven't completed it yet. Currently about 87%. Had it for months but I'm pacing myself. Incredible scenery, and a twist in the story.

I love GT5:P as well, still play it from time to time when I'm not always in F1:CE.

Car damage is coming this fall to GT5:P.
