Had my PS3 for a few months now, but only used it for Blu-Ray. Never did get around to actually playing any games until now. I have Uncharted and have downloaded plenty of demo's from the PS store.
For the last 15 years I've strictly been a PC Gamer and although I have had consoles in the past they were used by my son or daughter, or myself only occasionally. So now I feel like escaping the desk and hanging out in the living room for some gaming. Mix things up a bit.
I'm fairly clued up on games and what I'd like to play so my only concern is the PS3 Controller. I have the DualShock 3 version.
Oh boy it's difficult to use over a mouse. Just tried the Bad Company demo and I'm really struggling. Even if I can see my target I struggle to get the cross hair over to him and those trigger keys just don't feel right. I wish they were curved outwards rather than in. I grabbed the 360 controller and it feels a little better. Now I'm not about to start playing the 360 as my boy plays that in his bedroom, but the controller just feels a little better.
I can live with the trigger buttons, but aiming just seems impossible. I'm wondering if I should stick at it with frustration, or avoid shooters and play some 3rd person games. Uncharted for example is awesome. I still suck it aiming, but not like with Bad Company.
Any of you guys made the switch from PC to PS3 and felt the same? How did you cope.
