...So i wanna get into a good RTS, and Company of heroes seem to be the "best one" out there atm.
I have never ever played a RTS before, and think im kinda stupid (always been more of a "twitch gamer"), would I be able to get into this?
This looks like loads of fun, any tips would be appreciated :)

Ive always liked RTS but never been any good at them, until i played through Battle for Middle Earth, loved it and really enjoyed playing it too, now im playing through Company of Heroes and can say it is thouroughly addictive, well worth the effort to learn the game style.

Up til now, I've tried many RTS and there's only two that have got me hooked long enough to complete them - Warcraft III and Age of Mythology. Check those two out if you can.

Just got Company of Heroes myself and it is really great. Similar to Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War (which was also great but I never finished it).

You picked a good time to start as Company of Heros which is a great game currently has Dawn of War free with it giving you the chance to play two pretty different but both excellent RTSs. :)

sorry, ive joined the kreeeeeee crew now and have to say starcraft. old game but its the best strategy game ive played. very balanced and just generally a great rts game

Which is actually freeware now, and though it's turnbased it's still the best tactical game I've ever played. Ever. I still play it more than a lot of new titles.

Gotta say Battle for Middle Earth 2.

The way COH's multiplayer is just doesn't appeal to me :(.

Just because I'm a GFX whore, doesnt mean i like rubbish games, just coz they look pretty ...

dunno, i just think neally all new strategie games are too fancy and and the gameplay seems really slow and boring. A great example of this is redalert to generals. much more fun churning either defending or churning out units for an all out battle.

the next game I await I have forgot the name but you could zoom right out to see the whole island and control units from this height. where there were huge tanks that could then fit in huger carriers. massive squads of flying things right down to foot soldiers. looks great aswell

Deon, try Warcraft 3, seeing as you spent so much time playing WoW :)

You could also give Rise of Legends a go.

I remember my first RTS, the original Dune, the Warcraft 2, then C&C :D
