New to the forums, Hello!

Oo cool :) What do you own? I gave up a year ago, but I used to own a CZ American 452 .17hmr Rimfire/Simmonds White Tail imported scope, SAK mod and Harris Bi-pod, used to love it.

And a 12bore shotty

I have an Anschutz 2013, a Sako quad .17HMR, a Browning 12 bore and a custom Falcon FN8 for mucking about with and HFT. I've been shooting since I was little, gets you out and about and helps you de-stress!:D

Nice guns you have there :) I used to love it, shot down the range but also had permission over private land, reason I sold up though is because of lack of time although Iv been shooting for years, I still have my shotgun cert, could easily get a fac renewal, may do one day and get back in to it

Thanks! Taken a lot of saving for those, but worth it! I have some permission on the field behind my house, I'm into my cooking, used to work as a chef at uni and I grow all my own veg/ keep chickens so its nice being able to get fresh food whenever I feel like it! Trying to start my own business at the moment though so haven't been out in months myself, too many hobbies and not enough time!

That explanation really doesn't help rimboy. :(

Rimfire is a type of smallbore round, bullets come in two types, centrefire and rimfire, rimfire works by being hit by the firing pin at the edge of the bullets base whereas centrefire is hit in the centre of the cartridge. Rimfire tends to be small calibre (.17 HMR, .22 rimfire, .22 WMR) and centrefire is large caliber (.222, .308, 7.56 .50BMG) Hopefully everyone doesn't think im a curry eating gun nut now but there's a good explanation! :D

Welcome :)

Check out the Photography section, always nice to see fresh photos posted.

Will do, there are some fantastic photo's in the photography competition you run! I can't post any of my pictures on public forums because of copyright plus my work would kick my ass if they knew but if you visit the SWPP (Society of Wedding and Portrait Photographers) and search in the competitions section for Alex Vann (make sure you tick all the search boxes) you'll find my work there! :)

.17hmr being my choice :) for rimmy that is, iv fired 30 rounds using a 308 got a fair bit of kick for a small person like me :D

yeah, they certainly knock you about a bit, I shot a 7.62 at Bisley once, and had a play about with an LSW, even had a bash with an AK47 and an M16 on holiday in Vietnam last year, bit odd doing it halfway across the world but it was pretty cool! I'm only 5'7 myself so i know what you mean!
