Hi

I recently built my first custom pc and am liking it.

  • before anyone askes these are the main components of my build:
  • asus m4a89gtd pro/usb3 mobo
  • AMD athlon II x3 450 3.2GHz
  • corsair 4gb (2x2) 1600mhz ddr3
  • coolermaster elite 430 case
  • ocz stealth X stream 700w psu

this is probably nothing compared with what most of you guys have but
I am very pleased with it so far!

Welcome olliez nice setup ..... just wait till you get the upgrade/tweaking bug, as with anything read, read and read some more before you do anything :)
 
From a fellow new member I would like to say welcome!

The site is full of people waiting to help with anything you can think of and there suggestions will no dount lead to a lightening of you wallet but you wont regret it :p

I already have the upgrade/tweaking bug, I just dont have any money now lol, but when I do:D

scince I have got it all I have been thinking is:

get rid of stock cooler!!!!

an ssd would be so fast, I want one!

an extra 4gb of ram wouldnt hurt.

blue led fans are shiny- I need more!

x2 graphics cards in cross fire would send game fps through the roof!

I wonder if I can overclock my north bridge?

and many many other things and yea this forum will help me so much with decisions on what to get.
