Hi all. The girlfriend's new laptop arrived today preloaded with Vista HP. but I'm unable to install Warcraft on it. The install gets to about 97% then says it cannot rename some temp files and quits. I've disabled UAC with the same result. A search on the internet shows that I should right-click the installer and run as admin, but when I explore the DVD the only files shown are: .trashes .volumeicons.icns Installer Tome.mpq Installer Tome2.mpq Installer Tome3.mpq Installer Tome4.mpq Installer Tome5.mpq Installer Tome6.mpq i.e. no .exe files. I am unable to open the .mpq files. Any help appreciated :)

There should be the installer file, the one with the wind rider icon... There is an exe files there somewhere or you wouldn't be able to install it...

Nope, nothing like that, almost as if somehow they're being hidden. But double-clicking the drive starts the installer, it just errors as above.

There must be an installer. Have a look at the autorun.inf file in the root of the DVD (might be hidden) - it will tell you which file is executed when you click on the drive.

Go into the CD drive its in, from the top go to "Organise" then "Fodler And Search Options" then the "View" tab. Then select "Show Hidden Files and Folders". Click ok.

Now if theres any files or folders being hidden on the CD you'll be able to see them.
Now looks for an autorun.exe or a setup.exe to run as admin.
