Hi All,

I've got university experience in Java and PHP. I've just started my years Internship and the first thing we've been told is we need to learn the above.

I really like the idea of the Windows Presentation Foundation and I've been playing with XMAL and C# trying to make basic programs that interact with an SQL 2005 Database. But I'm just not getting on very well at all with visual studio. I've seen the books recommended for C# in Wardies thread and I'm going to look into them, but I'm just wondering if anyone else has any tips / links to good tutorials for getting along with Visual Studio?

Thanks:)

What specifically is it you aren't getting along with in Visual Studio?

I find it very powerful and intuitive personally - perhaps if you've got specific questions you could post them here?

What IDEs have you used in the past?

Studio was a godsend when i was used to coding in XEmacs ;]

Can be a bit annoying at first, but there are loads of settings you can tweak.
