New to wireless networking

Hi all,

As the title says, I`m a complete novice to wireless networking and need some help with a question I have. Any help please, would be gratefully appreciated.

Q1: I currently have my desktop PC in the front room but due to the g/f i`m being forced to move the comp to the hallway. Problem is, I have the cable modem located in the front room and no way of moving it closer to the PC.

So the question is, what do I need/do to be able to be connected to the internet and please my g/f?

Telewest Blueyonder - ISP
Motorola SURFboard SB5100 USB Cable Modem w/ usb and ethernet connections
