New Tomb Raider: Underworld Screenshots

Will be nice to see this and hope i like it because only the first one floated my boat the rest i did not bother with.

The last one i saw was on the ps2 think it was the first outing on said system for it and the loading times are rubbish and wrecked it for me.
Not sure of the title thou prob TR 4032 :D

Legend was excellent.

I was about to say the same thing :) Looks like they have tweaked the graphics engine a fair bit as well.

I have it pre-ordered on 360, but im considering switching to PS3. Going to keep my eye on which version appears to be looking better.

TR's mechanics are clumbsy, most of my game time is spent lining myself up to an exact point so I reach ledges and stuff without falling, or running in opposite directions due to camera issues. Id like to see the cover system implemented into TR + graphics that come close to uncharted and not just next gen mode.

I found movement in Uncharted, particularly small/baby steps in just didn't work. You would often just slide rather than take a step.
A cover system like Gears or R6V would certainly be welcome in my books.
As for graphics, considering the game is a PS2 port I thought TRA looked fine, Uncharted certainly is better looking but I just felt TRA was the better overall game.

The older games (never played the newer ones, series hit rock bottom with Angel of Darkness) used a grid system for jumps and ledges, you can't jump anywhere, only off the edges of an invisible grid on the floor. That's why it seems really floated and unresponsive, and why you always seem to perfectly catch your hands right on whatever ledge you grabbed.

Since Crystal Dynamics took over the grid system has been abolished. You dont have to line up jumps etc anymore. Jumping/climbing is much more fluid and faster now. You should give TR Legend a go. The controls are much improved and up to date.
