Was watching NathanBuildsRobots 3D printing news round up from a few days ago and there seems to be some promising new printers/tech coming out that have toolchanging abilities.

The xtool/snapmaker X1 which has 4 toolheads and looks quite compact.

The Bondtech INDX toolchanging system. It doesn’t have an extruder motor and electronics etc per toolhead but just one module that moves to different nozzles. Seems it would be a lot less complexity, less parts and cheaper.

Nice low effort reply. Can’t believe you think that is remotely the same thing..

For the indx there is nothing like it on the market at the minute. Look at it..

The snapmaker/xtool on the other hand won’t require you to spend months and have an electronic engineering degree to assemble. It looks very compact and you could probably take it out of box and be printing in no time like a bambu or prusa. Hopefully price will be good as well, the Prusa XL for example is approaching £4K for 5 toolheads assembled.

it's hardly new though is it. the form factor has been changed with some injection moulded parts and moving the extruder motor on to the gantry rather than each toolhead which is neat and the xtool is just a polished, production version of the above.

we are getting more and more multicolour designs .. now its time for multi toolhead designs..
I am hoping to get something by the end of the year
