New tower build

I currently have an Alienware 18 laptop which is now 4 years old and falling apart at the seams (blue screen of death every 20 minutes, some due to overheating, others not). I use it for general home use and gaming and have a Benq BL3200PT monitor running off it.

I am thinking of finding a specialist who can take a look at the laptop as my knowledge is limited but thinking it may just be time to switch back to a tower - I have a separate work laptop. I would like to buy another Benq monitor to run dual screen and the total budget is around £2k. Should I buy a pre-built system from Overclockers or attempt to build my own? I have a rough idea of how to put one together but how much would this actually save me?

Getting laptop back to good shape would likely require someone with Louis Rossman level knowledge.

Usually own work is good amount cheaper than that of others.
Though in that budget level it isn't that significant part of total.
Anyway would be best to wait about month for getting Zen2 Ryzens out before buying new desk PC.
