Well, six months on from doing my bit to reduce to the number of Corsas on the road, and sadly totalling my 330Ci in the process, I'm finally back behind the wheel of something decent...

Many thanks to Headrat for being a complete gent, apologies for pinching your photos, but I'm afraid I'm terminally lazy... :D

I wanted that!

Lol, sorry about that, I did feel a bit bad when I realised that you're the guy that's been after one for ages... How's the hunt going?

I've been after a new toy since breaking my old one. My 330 had sod all in the way of extras, which wasn't an issue as it was so cheap, but when presented with an opportunity to get a new one, I wanted to be a bit more selective about the spec, and had spent ages waiting for another facelift manual 330Ci, ideally with Nav and Harmon Kardon, but at least factory Bluetooth and Xenons. I had difficulty finding one at the right price as the market has picked up, but missed a couple due to work commitments and having the house turned over in the new year. I've been very fortunate in that my old man's old 530d wasn't selling, and he kindly lent me that until I'd got the insurance claim sorted out, and had the house refreshed. I'd opened up to the idea of a convertible, but when I tried a 330 cab, I didn't like it as much as the Coupe. Then a couple of weeks ago I started a new contract that should see me doing ~1k less miles a month for a little while, and with end of year dividends a couple of weeks away, when this came up I decided to take a look. I hadn't driven a Z4 beofre, and while it's far too soon to be objective, it's a cracking motor that's been well looked after. There are a couple of little niggles that I'd like to get sorted, but nothing too drastic, and in the meantime I'm just enjoying the top down and that noise... :D

I do seem to have developed a fuel leak though...;):D

They're too busy being driven....

or having roof motors replaced..... :p

Nice colour combo, could do with changing the alloys to ellipsoids though ;)
(I wanted those rear lights but Headrat ignored my begging :( )

Lol, yeah I saw the thread on Z4 forum...

If I were to change the wheels, it'd probably be for MV2's to get round the corrosion issue, but MFSW, clear headlights, and ipod integration are ahead on the list if I get round to doing anything, as I now have a spare set of 108's...

Any idea on how much / easy it is to do the above?

Quick question for any of you that are up before the DVLA are...

From memory, as I don't have a V5 to check, in a private sale, both the buyer and the seller complete the V5, the buyer retains a little slip, and the seller posts the forms to the DVLA, who should then send out a new V5 to the new owner, and a letter confirming the action to the seller?

Is the above accurate, and has anyone ever had to deal with a seller refusing to post the V5 until his red rubber ball and halter has been returned? (I like it, the strap is black, and it matches the colour scheme of the car )

If nobody has experienced the above, and surely with this many Z4 owners on the forum, it must have happened before ;) (including you Fox, you're not kidding anyone by feigning naivety!), what's the course of action if the DVLA have failed to send out the new V5?
