07 Ruby Black Z4MC with all the toys.. managed to knock the dealer down by £1600 so ended up with a deal I was happy with.

Giddy's mini review: it's ace :p

I seem to be finding any excuse to take it out for a drive at the moment :p

It's replaced another z4, only a roadster. Having only had the roof down a handful of times this year I decided to get rid, and with the coupe prices as they are I could hardly resist. :)

Just need to get something sensible now to rack up some of the mileage to and from work. :(

/Edit. Oh and a set of CSL wheels will be going on soon :D

Can't give a proper review until I've spent some more time behind the wheel, however first impressions are superb. Initially I was torn between the Cayman S and the Z4MC, but was put off getting another Z4 as I thought I would get bored very quickly, so the Cayman was the front runner. However I preferred the looks of the Coupe and thought the interior of the Cayman let it down. Both are excellent to drive, though the extra power in the Z4 is noticeable, it certainly feels quick, just as quick as some of the higher powered cars I've driven (although I know it’s more the sense of speed).

If you're interested in buying one, now is an excellent time to do so. Mine is four months old, done 5K miles and has lost 14K! Will take some more pics tomorrow.

I say toy, it's my daily driver until I get something a bit more sensible to commute in.

Yes Nick, the paint has a slight red fleck in it, not noticeable really until the sun hits it. You can't see in those photos but when it's sat next to my roadster (black sapphire) there's a subtle difference.

i found the cayman s to be a fantastic machine, how do the 2 compare in terms of handling and overall drive?

Regarding the handling there's not a lot in it to be honest, I found the Cayman soaks up poor surfaces far better than the Z on fast B roads whereas the Z can be a bit twitchy. That said I felt I could push the Z4 harder (the salesman can confirm this!)

The Cayman is a more sensible drive IMO, whereas the Z brings out the hooligan in you. It's a shame the Porsche engineers had to keep the power down so it didn't compete directly with the 911.

I've not driven the Cayman on the motorway but the way it drives on A/B roads it would probably be easier to live with that the Z especially in rush hour traffic.

I'll be over at xmas to borrow it Gids :D

Heh, you bringing a bike? :p
