I've only taken a couple of photos for tests. I was mulling over this lens for the last few months as I've been forced to spend more and more time not doing anything due to straining my back (don't recommend that!).

Anyway, I also have the Sigma 105 (non OS) and while it's nice, I couldn't help but notice that difference in colour reproduction on this new Canon lens. The IS is very good, very quiet, and the lens is very fast to focus compared to the Sigma lens.

Basically if anyone has the choice, I'd seriously recommend you consider this lens over any of the other, unless of course money is tight and you need the macro lens immediately.

Now, I'm off to take photos of my toes.
 
Congrats! Took the same plunge a month or so back. You should have given into your urges while the cashback offer was still on though :)
