New Truck

Only in the same way that your neighbours Ford Mondeo has a trunk and a hood and you drop your kids off on the sidewalk when they walk to school. In the UK, the Navara isn't a truck. Even Nissan don't call it a truck - it's just a 4x4 pickup :p

..unless your American neighbour drives one

The seats in the Navara (from experience) they just have no feel to them? you sit on them, not in them, no spring to them...and these were the leather ones (assuming they do a cloth variant?)

However, in the defender, they actually had some bounce to them so you felt yourself sit in the chair, dunno, just felt more comfortable.

Shes got a Mitsubishi Warrior now which is better than both :)

Its all about the comfy chair...why didn't i see that...

I just don't "get" these things, not sure why. Probably because 90% of them round here are driven flat out everywhere by forty something blokes having a mid life crisis. The next weapon of choice from one of these is a quad bike or a big thumper trail bike.

Not my cup of tea but enjoy it. Do people try and steal your shopping or does it have a tonneau thing?

They should call em' flatbeds!

But I bought it from a Pickup Truck dealer http://www.pickuptrucksdirect.co.uk/

Plus my other car has a trunk and a hood and that's not in the USA either.

I have to disagree the Navara seats are fine, it does depend a lot on how large you are and much you weigh. From what I have seen of the whole range of pickup trucks the seats vary a lot on the level of trim, some are very flat others have some shape and the difference in thickness of foam is quite large.

"Pick-up" is an abbreviation or shortened version of "Pick-up truck". Not sure why Fox cant see the obvious...

Other than the racket, they dont covey speed very well.

I had a D21 for a short time, and in a straight line flat out it had virtually no sensation of speed, you get no feed back, you dont feel the road through the steering and you get no buffeting at all.

Driving isn't always about speed as any truck driver will tell you, it's about annoying all other road users with your ability to be bigger and taller than your average car.

I was giving an explanation as to why they are flat out everywhere, simply because you dont even think about it.

I dont think pick up trucks are particularly annoying, just pointless.

R124 is a truck driver.

Well I'm certainly not a lorry driver nor a car driver at that point. An R124 is a lorry not a truck (driver).

Andi.

I guess I'm going to bow out here. I can't beleive you actually think you are a truck driver because you've got a Nissan 4x4. Thats the funniest thing I've heard all week.

:D
