New TV - £550

Hi there,

I'm looking at buying a new TV. My budget is £550 and I'd like 48"+.

I've always heard good things about Samsung (I have a 7 year LCD Samsung still going strong) so was looking at the UE48H6400.

Is there anything else worth considering at this price?

To be honest, smart TV isn't THAT important as my PS4 can handle most of that. 3d would be nice but not a necessity. There is a good chance I won't be watching live TV but I'm undecided. It will mostly be for Netflix and gaming on my PS4.

At JW the UE48J5500 is £529 everything else is out of my price range? Is this considerably better that the UE48H6400 then?

So I've been given permission to up my budget by £100 .

Should I go for this over the sammy?

Also, is there a problem mounting this to standard brackets? There seems to be mixed opinions on this.

I want to use a stand with one of the mounts on the back (got a new born coming, I don't want it falling over on them if they get too close).
