Ok, so I have recently had the kitchen redone, and as part of sorting it out, I ran a sat cable from the dish to the wall and put a poper socket there as well thinking it would be easy to buy a new 32~40 inch TV to hang there that has a FreeSat tuner built in.

So roll on the work being completed.

Initially, I thought about taking the 40" 5 year old TV (UE40ES6300UXXU) from the lounge which has a freesat tuner and mounting that to the wall, and then going out and getting a larger TV of similar ilk that also has a Freesat tuner (in case of binning off sky). I then decided that actually, the current TV does the job and is a good enough size, and I can save myself some money by going for a 32" that would be ok for the wall in the kitchen....

However, 32" smart TVs with Freesat built in, don't seem to exist anymore...

So I guess I am now back at looking at maybe replacing the TV in the front room.

What do I do!? I don't really want to spend more than £600 if I have to get a new TV for the front room, and if I get a new one for the kicthen instead of replacing the existing TV, I don't want to go over £300.

Do 32" freesat smart TVs not exist anymore???

Edit:
I guess maybe I just go for something like this (http://www.richersounds.com/product/tv---all/samsung/ue49ku6400/sams-ue49ku6400) which is a larger/newer version of the TV I have at the moment?

I had a quick look and you're right in regards to the lack of built in 32" Freesat TV's which is odd as it seems like they've been phased out as I remember them.

Have you considered just getting a really small Freesat box to connect to whatever 32"? Technology has improved a lot so I imagine you can find tiny ones possibly even with wall or back of TV fixings. Might be worth looking into.

On the other hand, TV tech has moved on a lot in 5 years and you could get a much improved lounge TV for £600 so it depends on how fond of TV and movies you are, are you wanting to see what 4k is like etc or the Smart features might be appealing?

Decisions, decisions :D

Edit: It's worth checking out the rainforest site at the moment due to their black friday deals they have £250+ off some sets around 50". The Samsung you linked to is a good TV but a bit old tech.

Yeah, I don't think a Freesat box is the way to go here. I don't think they are going to be small enough to mount behind the TV on a wall, so it leaves me with no choice but to get a bigger TV for the lounge.

Thanks for the comments.

I think I have pretty much convinced myself that the UE49KU6400 is the product I am looking for. Its not the biggest bestist spec, but is matching my needs and size, plus more importantly, price point of about £550.

So I went for the KU6400 in the end. Managed to get one on Richersounds in the "box opened" state for £493. :)

Better than kick in the teeth, and no flipping black friday deals :(
