New TV for 1K

My parents 42 inch Samsung is in need of a refresh

Is a 55inch Samsung KS7000 a decent choice?

at its price point nothing can match the KS7000 range.

I had problems with the 60inc version but with 55inc it should be less of a panel lotto

what problems mate?

what things are to look out for ?

Just got a text and he's buying a TV today!

the back panel can peel away from the screen.

Bleed and haloing but this shouldn't be as bad on the 55inc model

The KS7000 PQ is ridiculous for its price point and only falls short of the top TV's for the above issues and that's mainly down to it being edge lit.

That's a great price

Where from? Cheapest I saw the KS700 55 was 1100 :(

You're not looking hard enough it's £949 at John Lewis and Richer sounds and Currys :p The price he wrote would be including the 7.7% cashback topcashback are doing from Currys, if it tracks properly.

Haha clearly! Oh I'm tempted, a part of me thinks I should wait until the 2017 TV's come out though as I only got my TV last year
