New TV for the GF £400ish

She wants one "without the back", anyone have any recommendations for the above price range? From what I see size will be limited to 23"/ maybe 26".

Thanks :)

"without the back" , does that mean a short necked CRT or an LCD :D

Last month my future in-laws were in the same predicament and wanted an LCD. £400 max, they were set on a 21" 4:3 screen , until I came across a Goodmans 26" 16:9 in Tesco of all places. 2 scarts, VGA/DVI and wait for it, component inputs. It didn't have the resolution on the specs but after some looking I found out.

Might not be what you're looking for but it is a surprisingly good set. Best bit of all is that it is HDTV compliant - even though there's no HD Ready stickers. I wacked the Xbox360 on it and played a couple of HD demos and games, PGR3 never looked so good.

Good luck

Well looking at those to set's I would go with the Acer as I have never liked Goodman’s but I guess that’s just personal. Also them both being HD ready even though she doesn’t need it will be future proof for when she does I guess.
