new tv imminent need some advice on a few things

right guys i'm eagerly awaiting delivery of a new ps51d6900 to replace our aging ambilight.


but i have a few queries


firstly


i run everything through an onkyo 507 and use a ps3 as my bluray player.

can the ps3/onkyo both handle 3d signals?


secondly can anyone recommend a superthin wallmount? wife has a bee in her bonnet about having the tv flushmounted

and thirdly erm i've forgotten i'll edit the post later when i remember

hmmm no one shed any light on this?


my digging suggests my 507 cant handle 3d inputs as its only hdmi 1.3 or something or other.

now i'm thinking about connecting my ps3 direct to my tv with hdmi and running an optical out from ps3 to onkyo for audio

first of all will this work and is there anything i need to know about this?

the 3d side of it is a hardware function and the cable type is irelevant, i run a cheapo 1.3 hdmi cable on my setup and the 3d works fine
having the amp setup using the optical only should work providing the PS3 defaults to optical and doesnt try to send the audio over hdmi but im not sure how the PS3 handles its audio, either that or you'll have to turn down the volume on the tv
