New TV optimisation

Moving back to the UK next month after 3 years away, new TV ordered (LG 55") and we're having Virgin Media providing our TV...

Any good advice on optimising both the TV and Virgin?

When you say optimization, is it calibration you are after or you are just look for some reference settings to start with? What is the TV model?

Model is the LG 55UJ634V

Just wanting to make any simple changes to improve any out-of-the-box settings, and the same goes for Virgin Media if there's anything in the menu's that is worthwhile tweaking...
