New TV picture looks wierd.

Hi , got a Samsung UE75RU7020 , very pleased with it.
But have noticed that the last two films i have watched on it , Equalizer 2 and Mortal Engines the picture looked very strange.
Hard to explain but both films looked like they where filmed on the set of Eastenders , the picture is nice and sharp just looks odd.
I'm sure i have seen somewhere there is a setting to rectify this but dont know what its called , does anyone know what it is.

No idea if this is related to your problem but it doesn't have one of those fancy high refresh modes enabled, does it? My friends old Samsung screen had something similar and it made watching TV feel a bit wrong

Google for Soap Opera effect.

I had the same thing when I first upgraded to 4k. Gotten used to it now though so I dont see it.

Dont think so , had a look through all the settings and cant see any mode like that , dont suppose you know what its called.

Something along the lines of motion smoothing, true motion or sports mode. Sorry I can't be of more help

Thats it thanks very much , had the picture mode in Dynamic which puts Judder reduction on 9 , changed it to 2 and it looks like a film now.
