New TV time. Help me please

Hey

Ok so I've got a nice rig and a nice Asus g-sync monitor in the bedroom. But because of my front room setup I can't have a big TV.

Long story short, I could be moving house when everything gets back to normal. So I'm thinking while I have the cash get a big TV and then move it to the front room when the time comes.

£1500 budget.
65"
Used for gaming in the near future (but will be mainly a "TV" )

The hisense TV at £500~ worth a look? It could be in the bedroom 12 months. So I could be over spending ?

I've currently got a mega old Samsung plasma TV in the bedroom and to game on its shocking. It's almost like being at a rave with a strobe light on ahah. Not smooth at all for games.

I'm more of a pc guy and I just like nice gadgets and what not. Should I just save some cash and buy something half decent, rather than buying something high end, just for the sake of it?

Don't get me wrong, if its not nice while gaming or watching a film I'll not be happy but I'm not going to be watching or gaming at 4k either.

I have Netflix and some 4k virgin channels but they won't be watched all that much.

It sounds like you need two displays

Qled for gaming
Oled for movies

Pc struggles at 4k also you'll want hdmi 2.1 for 4k gaming.

Wonder if next gen consoles truly 4k or just 1080 textures scaled to 4k

Last console was a Wii or a PS1 hahaha. I'll not buy one as I don't game all that much.

I've not got the funds for a 4k pc. 1080 will be fine I think. I game at 1440 now.

LG B8 oled with 65 inches here and its a great screen, you can now get newer LGs in the 1500-1800 price point similar to mine but with updates.
Mine is used for pc 90% of the time with the great built in apps showing the impressive capabilities off when watching digital media.

Although you get what you pay for with the quality. Am I going to see that? I don't game all that much and I don't watch TV all that much.

The budget is just because I have that spare at the moment and I do like a nice bit of tech. But on the other hand I don't want to waste cash.

Its not like I could buy a TV that cost £1500 and sell it a year later for £900 like a graphic card. They just plummet in value. Not that I'm planning on selling. I usually keep for 2/3/4 years.

After thinking about things, I'm sorr of thinking that for an extra £1000 I'm not going to be wow'd enough for that extra? Or would a high end TV last me that many years it's worth the extra. ?
