Hi,
Looking at a new TV, budget around £500-700. Max size I can do is 50" (~110cm width), will consider a 47/48", but would rather a 50 (I'm upgrading from a 40).
Will pretty much be solely used for Kodi (incl Freesat for Live TV) and catchup services, no games console connected. SD quality is quite important as a lot of catchup and some sports I watch are in SD, but all TV and Movies are in 720/1080P. 4K would be nice, but not essential as it's not really taken off just yet.
I'd also like to be able to ditch my separate NowTV box for catchup services, which means that the TV must have iPlayer/ITV/4od & Demand5 (I think this will discount the Sony sets?).
At the moment I'm looking at the Panasonic AS650 (50") and Samsung H6400 (48"). The Sony W829 would have been in the running, but as per above I think it loses out on some catchup services. Not sure if this is a big enough reason to discount it yet...
Thoughts/advice/opinions?
