Hi

Ive never used black circles before but thinking of trying them out this time, need some new front tyres on my focus.
I understand when I buy the tyres online its like a fully fitted price that includes tyre disposal.

I normally ask for my new tyres to be placed on the rear, does this come in with the price or should I expect to pay a tip for the extra effort to do this?

Ive normally gone to tyre chains like kwik fit in the past and asked for them to do this at no extra cost but with these smaller garages Im unsure if I should give them a small tip if they do this for me.

Thanks for any advice.

Shouldn't cost you any extra. Just ask them when you get there.

You can book to have your black circles order fitted at loads of big garage chains, not sure if they do Kwik Fit though - probably better off for that though!

TBH, it's such a minute amount of extra effort, i'd hope they'd just do it FOC.

Im planning to go to a small local independent garage that gets good ratings on black circles, just unsure if I should tip a fiver or something if they switch the tyres around for me.

I've used Blackcircles for all my tyres for last few years.

Had them fitted at a few local places, until I found one that does a job to my satisfaction levels, this one actually use a torque wrench to do up the wheel bolts , and they show that the torque wrench has an in date calibration sticker on it

Anyway, none have ever asked for extra to swap wheels around, front to rear, or even left to right to even out wear.

Same as others I've used black circles multiple times now (probably knocking on for ten+ including family members cars) and I've always done the same as you where even if the new tyres are going on the front I've asked them to swap the wheels so my new rubber is on the back. It's never been a problem at any of the fitters I've used and I've never been charged extra :)

When I used black circles I used there "Premier garage" for my area to fit my tyres.
45 minutes it took them to fit 2 tyres and they put them on the wrong way round. Then when I got home one was flat because it had a leaking valve. I emailed a letter of complaint to BC and they weren't bothered. The garage is still advertised as there premier garage despite a string of bad reviews for them.
It's £20 cheaper for me on average per tyre to get them delivered to my home so I'm doing that next time. An indie shouldn't charge more than £10 to fit them

The black circles indie I went back to this week with a puncture fixed it free as they'd remembered me from a couple of months ago when I'd had all 4 tyres done. I made a 20 quid donation to the tea and biscuits fund instead. I guess it's luck of the draw whether you get a good one or not.
