New UK Coin Designs

Very non-traditionalist, I think the 50p and 20p looks great, but the rest look awful to me at the moment, they might grow on me. And I just refuse the £1 coin, you can never change the £1 coin.

Any high res?
 
I'm not sure if I like them. They look kinda fake and I think they're TOO modern. I like the coins the way they are, though I guess they'll spend just as quickly! :rolleyes:
 
Do you get some sort of special power or extra money if you mahtc them like in the picture?

Meh, it's just new coins.
 
Personally i don't like it, i think a design for each coin is better rather than this jigsaw style.
 
50p looks great, 5p awful, wish they'd lose the £2 Coin and make it a £5 Coin instead too.

Hmmm, that does show them better, but I'm just not sure about the partial bits of picture on each coin :(

The design idea is good (the £1 is very nice), just not the fact that they're split it.

We're gonna need to buy special wallets to put our money in a specific order to make the full picture :p
 
I suppose this gives collectors something to do for 10 minutes when they are first released. To be honest I had no idea there was a redesign competition, not sure how well it was advertised, hence why only a coin collector would come up with such a design.

Also, I don't like gaps between the coins when they are fitted together...
 
It looks good enough but as a once off commemorative collection or the like rather than everyday currency.

To be honest England should just say Baa and change to Euro, makes everything easier.
