Hello,
I've posted this already but didn't get many replies and think I was asking the wrong sort of questions.
Basically I want to build a gaming computer that will last for a while.
Im trying to decide on CPU. Would it be best to go for dual core (E6600) as I hear they are better for gaming at the moment, or quad (Q6600) as they may have the potential to be better? I'm looking to overclock these also so I guess that figures into the equation some how.
For the motherboard, I'm thinking I would perhaps want to do SLI at some point, whats the best thing to go for as far as the Intel Core 2's are concerned for stability and overclocking?
As for ram, would it be best to go for 8500 or 6400 DDR2? As I know 8500 can be a bit overkill in some cases.
Lastly, as far as graphics card are concerned, I'm thinking of simply going for an 8800 gtx because of the price and also because I don't think its worth going for the 9 series at the moment, and it would be best to bide my time.
Cheers.
