Hey All,

I am basically getting a redundancy payout soon from work and moving straight into a new job so finally have some money to spend on upgrading my PC, it may not need it but I want to do it :)

I have a EVGA 980TI, 500GB Samsung Evo Pro, 1000Watt Corsair power supply, and case already, and couple of old style hard drives 500GB and 1TB so would only really be needing a new CPU, Motherboard, as much memory as possible for the motherboard, and a new graphics card, not sure if to go 980TI SLI as be cheaper option or get a 1080 but would be open to both options.

I am currently running an AMD FX 9370 and ASUS Sabertooth 990FX motherboard so anything to beat that would be great, never ever used an intel CPU so decided it was about time.

Thanks in advance.

Hi

If you are just gaming then 16GB Ram is enough.

I would either go with an i7 6700K and Z170 Motherboard, or an i7 5820K and X99 Motherboard if you want the extra cpu cores.

What cpu cooler and case do you have ?

CPU cooler wise I currently have a H115i, and case wise a Corsair 760T V2, problerm is I am abit out of touch when it comes to Intel CPU's and not to sure where to go graphics card wise, have an overall budget of 2k max and would like to give quite on the extreme ends of CPU/RAM/motherboard just no idea where to really start :P

You might as well go X99 if you want the Enthusiast cpu.

Something like this:

My basket at Overclockers UK:

Total: £741.03
(includes shipping: £11.10)

What resolution monitor are you using ?
