New user on laptop

What would be a reason to create a new user if I am the only one using the laptop?

What are admin privileges? I have had my laptop for 2 years and never had another user, but people are saying to have another, but I don't really understand.

Presumably what they mean is what Nymins is saying, ie that you have a standard account for surfing teh pr0n and then an admin account for when you want to change shizzle
