New version of CDex available (finally!) but a problem

Hi folks, a new version of CDex has become available, here:

I have a problem however - my rips to MP3 are *really* slow - about 1.5 times play speed. The old version of CDex used to get up to about 25 times

Has anyone managed to fix this with the new version?

thanks Bledd - I've been using VLC but as there was a new version of CDex for the first time in a long time, I thought I'd give it a spin VLC with the external LAME encoder is definitely top of the heap - recommended to anyone who wants to rip the best quality MP3s

CDDB is fine unless you're an early adopter like me It turns out I am the first person (in the world?) to rip Scritti Politti's new album 'White Bread, Black Beer' to MP3. There was no entry on CDDB! (but there is now, and yes I checked my spelling carefully )
