Just inherited my Dad's old Athlon 4600+, and it's been working fine (as a temporary machine). Fancied plugging into the TV for basic gaming for my son, so...
Added a Corsair CX430M PSU and a Sapphire R7 250X.
Regardless of whether I use DisplayPort or HDMI to my monitor, or HDMI to my TV, I get no picture. I have tested the new card in my main rig and get a picture on the monitor immediately so I guess it's not faulty.
Usually when I switch on any PC from cold, I hear a BIOS click or two (internal speaker?), then a beep and the POST screen appears. WITH THIS SETUP, the BIOS 'clicking' is continuous. Does this mean that the system is too old for the R7 250X?!?
Suggestions welcome please
