New Vista Drivers for xfi are out!!!!!!!!!

They STILL havent got the software working with it!!! As well as Dolby decoding etc still not working!! And forget about it if you have a 6.1 setup :(

How is it possible they made us wait over a month for a release and then they give us something with NO fixes over the BETA????

Honestly Creative deserve to feel the sting of this truly poor driver support.

Personally i think im going to have to ditch my lovely windows Vista and go back to XP 64 :( Which is a real shame as ive been utterly impressed (bar the poor Nvidia and Creative drivers...)

I've downloaded them too, and when I come to install I still get the message, no Creative hardware found

Willbo, did you uninstall your BETA drivers first?
I did that and it gave me the same message so I did a system restore and just installed normally, that solved it.
The new drivers work great for me though, no more stuttering in oblivion :D

Well when I installed the new drivers earlier the program bar it says they are still betas anyway what on earth have they been doing for the last couple of years knowing that vista is in development?

They have made us wait all this time ...then release drivers that are no better than the Betas from last year and they still arent WHQL certified by Microsoft

I wont post a link in case im not supposed to. But There is a new YouP-Pax software set out that supposedly works in Vista. Its called the YouP-Pax 2007 release (should show up in a google i spose)

This is supposedly based around some new X-Fi software release. I havent tried it myself, set it downloading when i went ot uni this morning so i'll try it this evening.

Apologies to the Dons if this isnt allowed, as far as im aware thi isnt illegal software etc, please delete this post if this isnt allowed.

Update: The YouP-Pax X-Fi software set seems to work perfectly :)

DOlby pass through doesnt work, but thats a driver limitation, other than that im now back to how I was under XP :)

From what read the drivers do not include 6.1 or above setups; trust Creative to take longer than anyone else to produce drivers and when they finally are released they are only half done.

Wish I had'nt bought a Creative tbh - drivers are tripe.

I've installed the latest drivers, and Sim City 4 loads with the sound coming from all speakers. However, as soon as I load one of my cities, it switches back to 2.1 sound. Very very poor Creative.

No difference in these new drivers :\, I would have expected them to include a propor control panel like on the propor X-Fi drivers, its been aaagggess since they released there last drivers :(

Try the YouP-Pax 2007 software release.

Its a 600MB ISO that Creative dont seem to mind being linked to in their Vista forum, so i guess it must be ok!

All you need do is de-tick "Install Drivers" as the current release is better tha the one released in the YouP-Pax pack.

I have ALL my software back, all the volume panels etc and the THX console is actually newer and nicer looking than the one I had under XP!

Nobody is quite sure what it is exactly, its definaely proper creative software though i can tell you that much.

Im reasonably happy now that I have SP/DIF passthough working for DVD's again (had to update PowerDVD it seems, it was only playing in stereo on dolby DVD's before)

Well im slowly getting there i spose!

Now i just need some decent SATA drivers and some nvidia drivers that allow me to overclock.. (very annoying one that)

Date has changed - Driver build number is the same for some reason.

Yes, drivers haven't changed. On the Creative forum they said they changed the installer as it was giving some customers some problems with the previous one. The drivers remain the same from the 8th/9th.
