Demo units have been seen of this in the past but looks like it's official!

These do look cool, but to my mind seems to be a step in the evolution towards some kind of fully trackable and wearable haptic feedback glove.

they still think their trackpad is the best idea? hmmmm. Dont get me wrong, I have and love my Vive but thumbstick over trackpad surely. I still havent seen one instance of it being better than the rifts, and plenty of times I curse it so so much.

pretty cool thought! a great time for VR, with all the movement the internet & current thinking allows for :)

Sorry Rasseru, I have to disagree about the pad. Since Dead effect and the free motion, I find the trackpad as fluid as gliding my fingers over the wasd when circle strafing. Maybe if you were born in to a console fps environment using a pad with sticks your opinion might differ, but I still see the glide as being faster, and more fluid with natural aiming in vr.

I was sceptical at first about the controller, but after seeing videos with the free finger movement, I'm more than sold on it. There's so many creative minds out there to bring it to fruition.

Im really bad with it, I keep glancing my thumb on it and making myself move when I don't want to (stupidly as well, like sideways and in circles) And no way to turn it off. I do this in other games as well. Windlands is another that doesn't work well. It doesn't feel like I'm touching it and it still gets set off...

I think it would be better if games supported click to move.

. I'm really trying to get used to it but I don't like it
