New Watch.

Thats fine guys. Not everyone likes every watch in the world.

I was hoping for some information a little more constructive than "urrghh...they are minging".

Anyone actually owned one or something useful like that.:)

Not sure what i can add that would be constructive, they are different, but they look cheap... i'm sure they arent, and whatever else - but they look like the kind of plastic watches i used to have when i was about 10, again - they obviously arent.. but hey - my opinion.

If you like them then you should get one of them, sod everyone else - its you that will be wearing it, not everybody else

Cheers.

They certainly aren't cheap. They're based purely on function, no shiny, tacky bits like Rolex etc. Just good solid watches that are built for taking abuse :D (I go diving and kayaking quite a lot). I like them both.

Thats not good, how did you break them?
I just got one and have been wearing it for footy and squash as it annoys me not knowing the time. Hasn't broke yet but I managed to rupture my cruciate ligament so it won't be getting any proper use for a long time.

Smashed the 1st one kayaking...came over a drop and smashed my wrist into a rock :D

Second one I caught with my hammer at work and smashed a big chunk out of the plastic on one corner :D

I like the watches in the OP mate. I havent seen a single watch thread on here so far i agree with. People spending £4000 on the same silver watch with blue background and little glowing bits on the hands.

Totally agree mate. That's why I went for this one. IMHO all Rolex/ Omega/ Seiko etc.....all the same.....Shiny blingy, rotating bezel (that most people don't actually know how to use [I do actually dive by the way]....water resistant to 300m (so what when the deepest most people go is 2m at their local pool] I could go on but can't be arsed :D

And don't even start me on the aforementioned watches finished in gold :D

the original watch looks like something ripped put of a flight instrument panel and not my cup of tea.

Its supposed to mate - Built to military spec - designed by Bell & Ross and inspired & tested by pilots and and special forces.

Spotted another I like since my purchase though:

What do you think folks? :)

And Yes its silver with a blue face but it doesn't look like a Rolex :D

.

Well of course I'm not a pilot :D - the point being these are not shiny, blingy, artsy fartsy watches for poncing about in.

Unlike most of the "my watch cost £4K, is waterproof to 20,000M, has loads of features I have no idea how to use but they look good" club, I spend a lot of time diving, rafting, kayaking and climbing.

See how long your Casio lasts on a deep tri mix dive :D

Oh and you missed the "I actually dive" part of my quote to add weight to your little attack I see :p
