After 12 years of air cooling I've finally decided to take the plunge (hah!) into the world of watercooling with my new 3770k build this Christmas.
I'm going to be building a new system centered around a Xigmatek Elysium, Intel 3770k, MSI 7970 Lightning and a ASRock Z77 Extreme6. Based on lots of reading I've more or less decided I wanted a bay res, dual d5 pumps (redundancy more than anything) and to mount a 420.3 in the top of the Elysium and a 240.2 in the front.

Wasn't too keen on the XSPC res/pump combos so decided to stay clear of them but have some questions on the other bits:
1. Unsure what make of tubing to get. Any stand out brands that I should be looking at?
2. Is the bay res I've chosen big/good enough? Any others I should look at? I'm not a fan of plexi though!
3. Biocide or silver kill coil? Or can you use both (I'm guessing not?)
4. What's the best form of clamp for the barbs? Using 7/16 ID tubing, but would also like clamps as I'm just not that brave for my first build
5. Pretty set on the 120mm Corsairs (unless there really is something better?), but unsure on 140mm fan to go for.
6. Anything obvious missing???
