So its time for me to buy a new case and to go with it some water cooling kit.

Now before I start you will think I am mad, as I will be using the big case and wc setup to just cool my cpu and motherboard. I will be wcing my graphics at some point in the future.
The setup that will need wcing is in my sig.

I will be buying oiether the kit first then the case after, as I wont be touching the case until the wcing kit is here, and it will take me 2 months to save up for it all. so I want to make certain I am making the right decsions first.

The case in question is
Corsair Obsidian 900D Super Tower Case

now the water cooling kit.

OcUK Tech Lab - W16 Watercooling Kit 480

with some upgrades to it.

XSPC D5 Photon 270 Reservoir/Pump Combo

and

Hardware Labs Black Ice Nemesis Radiator GTX 480 - Black

So that is basicly the kit I would like to buy or think its a good idea to buy.

Now for the reason I am posting.

some help/advice please if possible

do you think it is possible to swap out the raystorm and get

EK Water Blocks EK-Supremacy Clean CSQ - Nickel
http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=WC-357-EK&groupid=962&catid=1519

Instead, is there any valid reason to do this other than I think the ek block looks nicer and the fitting is a load better than a raystorm ?.

I notice the ek water block is available in various flavours ie

Full Nickel
Full Copper
Acetal + Nickel
Nickel
Ect ect. bar the look of the actual block is there a premium one from the list of ek Supremacy range I should go for, I am trying to make this as premium as possible, but ofc still keeping an eye on the money lol. I also want the best performing block becuas eof my cpu overclock, I want to try and go for more.

Second thing is this, will that rad fit at the top of the case ? or am I going to have clearance isues ?

Or am I better of putting that rad at the bottom, and using another 360 rad I already have at the top a black ice extream 360 ?

IS it ok to use the oboard waterblock of the Asus formula v1 ? I know there was some people saying about corrosion?

Now considering I will only be wcing my cpu and mobs to start, is it to much of a waste to use the 480 rad and another 360 rad ?.

Any other suggestions or ideas would be great

Thank you

Personally I'd just buy the components individually.

The 900D is a pretty big case. I personally believe you can never have too much radiator capacity so I'd be tempted (assuming you don't mind spending the pennys) be tempted to go the whole hog & stick a 480 rad in the roof of the case, later on you can get another 480 and GPU block to add to the loop (either as one loop or two)

The main thing really is you need to figure out 2 fittings for each component. I personally went with EK compression fittings (they were cheap). OCuk have a huge range of options though (just make sure the tubing size matches the fitting)

CPU block wise I'm using an EK Supremacy & certainly have no complaints about the performance

In my 900D I'm running a Black Ice SR-1 in the roof (56mm thick + fans - 81mm thick) and have no issue with clearance on the motherboard, you do lose the top optical drive bay though

Hope that helps a little
