New webcam + Green lines!?

Hi guys,

Just bought a Phillips SPC900NC webcam. I've installed the drivers and used it on msn and there are loads of green lines running across the picture.

Im on vista 64 bit.

I have tried every usb port (7 of them).
Uninstalling and reinstalling.
Playing with the settings.

Anyone have an idea???? It's driving me mad!

Does it happen in all sorts of lighting? I remember i had a webcam a while back that distorted the screen when pointed at bright light

ye it happens with lights on or off.

Yea that is what I thought...I was wondering if maybe it was the vista 64 bit though as I know it can sometimes be a pain in the a**.

I do have one last plan before sending it back....I'm going to try it on my bro's pc which has xp on it.

it turned out if was b/c i didnt have vista service pack 1 installed
