Hi all

Looking to pick up some new wheels for my Orbea Bronze this year (currently rocking the stock Mavis Askiums).

Just slightly over whelmed by choice and not entirely sure where to begin, have £1k to spend, my riding is mostly flat, club rides at weekend and 20/30 mile rides during the week.

No need for disc hubs as my frame cannot take disc brakes, have been looking at:

Any thoughts?

I have never ridden on carbon rims and am under the impression a slightly deeper section carbon rim would be a better requirement due to me not cycling up too many hills (I <3 the south). Would prefer tubular as don't want to faff around with glue!

Any suggestions of wheel sets would be great.. thank you in advance!

Or these look reasonable from Wiggle (if you have 12% platinum discount)...

I've heard some not so good feedback from a wheelbuilding friend of mine on the cosine stuff. I would also never spend 1k on a set of wheels! My 50mm carbon clinchers were 280 from China and have been fantastic, but they're only posh dry riding use, and I wouldn't use them in the alps :P
