And yes they came with a car attached, after my Supra TT decided to die in the recent heatwave I needed a new car, something cheap, something economical, something with a 4.3L V8 that weighs 1.8 tonnes :P

For those interested this is what I went with:

This is what I ended up with, its an LPG converted 2002 Lexus LS430:

Its covered 147k, nice service history, everything works, cost me £2800 which worked out well with the salvage on the Supra factored in. Cambelt due in 57k, years tax and MOT, needs new front discs/pads so I suspect the MOT was done by a "friendly" garage but rest of the car appears sound, overall quite happy for the money.

Drove it home in petrol mode (in case anything happened mechanically I wanted to rule out the LPG system) and it averaged 30+ MPG, been running it in LPG mode since then at 67p a litre, ahh good times :P

Only things I'm planning at the moment is to do the discs/pads, replace one of the rear tyres as their mismatched, and maybe get a set of BC racing coilovers at some point.

Bodywork is as you would expect for an 11 year car thats done a lot of motorway miles with a few stone chips but generally seems to have been taken care of, other than that its in pretty great nick, rear fridge, rear heated and massaging seats, rear window and rear side window blinds, front heated and A/C seats, all round parking sensors, electric everything, keyless entry, the works :)

Saw a few barges like this on auto-trader recently. Have to admit I was massively tempted. Hope you enjoy your cruising!

Not a fan of the styling myself, but that is a lot of car for the money!

Truth be told it doesn't exactly set my pants on fire either, but I have always taken the approach that I sit inside the car, and inside this car is quite a nice place to be :P

I bet that is seriously comfy!
The LPG will allow you to save up a good buffer fund for any repairs :).

Very, they have air suspension with adjustable height/damping (also lowers itself at motorway speeds). Repairs wise the only thing that can really throw up a big bill is that suspension but in that case you can simply fit adjustable coilovers for half the cost of a single air shock and problem solved.

A mild heat killed a 1J?

A 2J, sold the MK3 last may and bought a UK spec MKiv, if it had been the MK3 I would prob have paid to repair it rather than sending it to the breakers. To be honest im not sure how much of a factor the heat played but it was ridiculously hot that day and I had been cruising on the motorway for 2 hours . A coolant hose to the rear turbo blew/burst and before the temp gauge had chance to rise the HG had blown, which obv caused a loss in power which the car (under cruise at 75KPH) assumed was a hill and dropped a gear making things worse lol.
