Hey guys, I'll keep this as short as possible.
Basically my 18 month old Vertex 2 died on me last night (with the apparently infamous red + green light showing), and despite my best efforts I've been unable to get it working again, so I'll be RMA-ing it over the next few weeks.
I bought a Corsair force 3 this morning with the intention of reinstalling Windows on it when I get home from work. I have a question though: Is it possible to get Windows to detect programs that have already been installed on other drives? My Vertex only had the OS on it and pretty much all my other programs were installed on a separate, conventional 7200 rpm drive so they're all still intact. I realise I can probably just create start menu shortcuts to each of the programs, but it'd be nice if they could be added automatically both to the start menu and the registry.

that part I hate, this is why I have a Ghost image once I've done installing everything 
So all I do now is format the drive and drop the ghost image back on and jobs done all programs installed with no hassle
